Chiddingly Cricket Club is an ECB/Sussex Focus Club and has a proven track record of producing quality players at all levels. We are proud to boast 15 qualified ECB coaches and 6 qualified ACU&S umpires.
Chiddingly can boast having one of the most picturesque grounds in the country. Located in the heart of East Sussex, between Lewes and Hailsham, the field is bounded on all sides by trees and hedges. The spire of Chiddingly church rises majestically to the north of the ground. We hope that you will enjoy visiting the ground to enjoy watching some fantastic cricket in a wonderful "English" setting.
We are now a few weeks into our 2008 season of matches and, already, results seem to be very promising. We continue to field two Saturday teams in the Sussex Cricket League and one Saturday team in the East Sussex Cricket League, one Sunday side and an occasional Mid-week team. In 2007 the Cup side won the Oakshott Cup and had a good run in the East Hoathly Cup. On Saturday 24th May we even managed to put out a 4th XI. This was a first ever for the club!!! Well done everyone!
Chiddingly Cricket Club also has a thriving Youth Section and fields sides at Under 9 / 10 / 11 / 12 / 13 / 14 / 15 and 18 age-groups. Friendly matches are also organised for the Under 8s and Under 16s. The Under 14s and Under 16s both won their leagues in 2007. Several of our younger members now play regularly on Saturdays and Sundays
Junior practice night is Mondays between 6.00pm and (about) 7.30pm (weather permitting. For further details contact Richard

In the opening game of the East Hoathly Cup Andy smashed 150 not out to help Chiddingly to a total of 228 for 3wkts. Not only was this the fastest 150 scored in club history but it helped the team reach the largest total in a 20/20 match. Andy is now our leading run scorer of the 2008 season.
Well Done Andy!!
Chance to Shine is the Cricket Foundation’s scheme to bring competitive cricket to state schools. The scheme is addressing the decline in competitive school cricket and is the single biggest sports-development initiative ever undertaken in the UK. Chance to Shine will reach one third of all schools in England and Wales over ten years and engage two million young people. Chiddingly Cricket Club is pleased to be involved with the project. We currently have four coaches working in six local schools. For more information click here.
Why not become more involved?? Contact the club for more information.
